This is BETA functionality.
Once translated into one
language you cannot translate to another language. You can use the browser's back function
to effect an immediate return to English.
Using the web-site's own
links once translated will continue to translate pages in the current selected language.
The Google banner will disappear when you navigate away from the first
translated page. Getting back to English after navigating around in another language
is not straightforward. The language tool wraps the original page URL with
Google's own parameters, for example, to translate the page at www.salvia-divinorum-scotland.co.uk/contact/latest.htm
into French, the address would be changed to http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.salvia-divinorum-scotland.co.uk/contact/latest.htm&langpair=en%7Cfr&hl=en&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&safe=off&prev=%2Flanguage_tools. If you can find the original page reference within
this complicated address you copy it and re-paste to return it to English.
For some more information about Google's translation see www.google.com/help/faq_translation.html.
Remember, such tools will often make strange and funny interpretations, but it should be possible to get the general meaning.
Note Google's comments (from the above link): Automatic translation is very
difficult, as the meaning of words depends upon the context in which they are
used. Because of this, accurate translation requires an understanding of
context, as well as an understanding of the structure and rules of a language.
I will include other languages if Google make them available. If you are bi-lingual and would like to volunteer to do a proper translation
into a major European language (either one already covered by the tool or a new
one) I would be particularly interested in getting
the pages related to Contact Details (+ prices, overseas information etc.) and
the pages relating to Salvia Plant Care and Ingestion translated. I could
offer discounted prices on my Salvia plants in return.
